Pre-conference SirsiDynix training on Wednesday 11 July
SirsiDynix will be tentatively holding a pre-conference training day on Wednesday 11 July 2012. Provided there is enough interest (and based on feedback from last years conference) they will run a Symphony only training course. The cost will be an additional £49 for members and £99 for Non-members, on top of your conference fees to attend the training which will be all day from 10:00hrs to roughly 16:00hrs. There is a maximum of 30 places available, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

SirsiDynix reserves the right to not run the pre-conference training if there are less than six delegates wishing to attend.. If the training is not run due to lack of interest you will be notified prior to the conference, and your invoice will be altered accordingly.

If you are traveling up and staying Tuesday night - please book your accommodation separately with the venue - the conference price only includes accommodation for Wednesday and Thursday night!
Training outline

  • Morning session - Efficiency - How to make the most efficiencies through your LMS. With current budget cuts the need to make your LMS as ‘agile’ as possible is a definite requirement. This session will make sure your lms system is set up for the Olympics!
  • Afternoon session - Tidying up your catalogue – Housekeeping your catalogue - The job most libraries would love to get to but often just don't know where to start! Why not start here and set yourself up for the next few years...?

Pre conference get-together (Wednesday 11 July 2012)
The committee are considering organising a ghost walk around York on Wednesday evening ending at a restaurant. The cost of this walk is a minimum of £4.50 per person (There is a minimum charge of £120 for parties under 26 people, so the cost may increase depending on how many want to do it), which each delegate will have to pay in advance. If you would be interested in attending this please tick the box, we will contact you after 20 April 2012 confirming the cost of the walk, at which point you can chose not to attend the walk.
Conference fees and accommodation
The COSI committee would like to express thanks to SirsiDynix who have kindly agreed to subsidise the cost of conference accommodation this year. This has allowed us to hold the conference at a better class of venue.

** We were only able to secure 70 rooms up to 20 April 2012. As this date has passed and/or we already have 70 delegates registered we can no longer guarantee accommodation, and so we can now only offer you the conference rate without accommodation Please book your accommodation yourself separately.

Completing this form will ensure your place on the 2-day conference. As it is now later than 20 April 2012, you will need to sort out accommodation yourself separately if required.
