Description: Are you struggling to assign reports to a dossier to create multiple visualisations? Or do you need a refresher on building basic reports in BLUECloud Analytics? We’ve got you covered! From generating a MARC bibliographic data report to harnessing tools in a dossier to create filters and thresholds from existing datasets, this training has it all! By the end of the session, you’ll be able to confidently create and import custom reports that cover catalogue records, items and user information into a dossier. You’ll also learn how to format and organize your reports to meet your library’s specific requirements. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to elevate your skills with BLUECloud Analytics!
At just £25 in addition to conference attendance, the pre-conference training is a great opportunity to learn something new or refresh your skills.
Please be aware: due to the limitations of the training facilities and the time available the session will be in a lecture format and will not include opportunities for hands-on practice. Places are limited to 25. A minimum number of 10 attendees are required to guarantee SirsiDynix run the course. The pre-conference training day is only available to those who are also attending the COSI conference.

Description: Do you find it difficult to identify the best Symphony report to use for your task? Perhaps you identified the report to use but the data is not output in the format you need. Maybe you are experienced in using Symphony reports and can share some tips and tricks with others. Join this session to ask questions of experienced Symphony report users or to share your solutions and ideas. SirsiDynix staff will also be on hand during the session to share information on working with Symphony reports. For example:
- Help in identifying the correct Symphony report for the task
- Tips on Symphony report output options and how to get the most out of them
- Report administration including scheduling reports and keeping the finished reports list tidy
The session will run from 10.30 - 13:00. This is a walk-in session which you can join and leave at any time. There is no extra charge for attending this session, it is included in the conference attendance fee.

This presentation will describe how Symphony, BLUEcloud Analytics and Enterprise were utilised to track notebooks, disseminate information to other library teams, send email burst reminders and HTML pre-overdues and to create a searchable lab notebook archive in Enterprise. |

Focussing on Symphony, Enterprise and BlueCloud Cataloguing, the presentation will explore elements of cataloguing practice, configuration and web design (for Enterprise), aiming to highlight areas where Jerwood Library has created bespoke solutions for our users. Throughout there will be reflection on how this work ties in with our institutional goals. |

14:00 - 14:40 - “Hands-off” Symphony Acquisitions (Nicki Lake and Siobhan Cottam, SirsiDynix): This session will include an overview of the EDIFACT reports which can automate the acquisitions processes between placing an order with your supplier and receiving the physical item in branch. We’ll also look at some additional custom options that customers have implemented to automate the process further including patron suggestions, reports to mark invoices ready and invoice exports to financial systems as well as reports to populate UKSLC and language categories to item records for improved reporting. Time permitting, we’ll give a brief overview of the rollover process too.
